How Bible People Became Christians

In this lesson
On Pentecost, Peter told convicted hearers to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38). The Ethiopian, Saul of Tarsus, and others show the same gospel response.
Paul’s sins were not washed away merely when he saw Jesus or prayed, but when he was baptized (Acts 22:16). Baptism into Christ pictures burial and resurrection (Romans 6). Believing and confessing matter (Romans 10)—yet none of this earns salvation; it is obedient faith receiving grace.
