Lesson 4

Abraham & God’s Complex Plan

In progress

Gen 12:1–3; 15:1–21 · ESV for Scripture quotes

In this lesson

Before we existed, God already had a plan to save us from sin. It culminated at the cross, but it unfolds from Genesis 12 when God chose Abraham and Sarah to found a miraculous nation.

In a nutshell the plan has two aims: free us from sin’s punishment, and teach us to be holy again. God would raise a nation, teach holiness through them, then send the sacrifice that frees people from sin so all may join His people.
